Sturdy Pyxises sometimes appear in Abyssea after you defeat monsters. The type and quality of Pyxis is determined by the Abyssea Lights of the player defeating the monster.

Types of Pyxises

Chests in Abyssea come in three different varieties with different effects as listed below.

The potential level of a colored pyxis is determined by the corresponding light of the player who dealt the final blow to the monster that dropped the pyxis.

  • Certain Abyssites (listed in the above table) will occasionally cause a chest to be a stronger than it would be normally.
  • Bastion in Scars zones and Dominion in Heroes zones can also cause chests to spawn stronger than they would normally.

It is possible to tell the relative power of a chest from the amount of cruor that you get from destroying it. (Although it is much easier to rest to examine the proper light.)

Blue Sturdy Pyxis Values

Blue Sturdy Pyxises have a variety of uses. They can contain XP, Cruor, Soothing Light, Temporary Items, or Time Extensions.

It is possible to see the level of a XP, Cruor, or Soothing Light chest by the message.

Red Sturdy Pyxises have two different message sets. The message set for Pearl, Azure, Ruby, and Amber lights is separate from Silver, Gold, and Ebon lights. Both sets are outlined below.
