Lore

• In Finnish folklore, Iku-Turso is a sea monster, associated with war and pestilence. Its appearance is a mystery and it's revered as a strong deity. It was featured in the national epic Kalevala.
  
  The Finnish word for octupus, "tursas," was inspired by it.
