- Cast high level water-based black magic, including an instant-cast Flood.
- Summons two Shen's Filtrates approximately 45~60 seconds after being spawned then retreats into it's shell.
- At this point it becomes far more difficult to defeat as the regen effect is very potent.
- It is possible to defeat Shen before this with an alliance of strong melee DDs ready to zerg it down.
- Otherwise, a BLM magic burst setup is recommended.
- Shen's Filtrate are water elementals which share hate with Shen and also have an instant-cast flood.
- Filtrate may be silenced and slept.
- Filtrate are resummoned after being defeated.
- Shen is immune to Paralyze, Stun, Blind, and Requiem.
