Elegies are songs that reduce an enemies Attack Speed. While still an invaluable tool to use in many fights, its effect on TP control can be diminished by certain player strategies, such as zerging.

Every Elegy +1 given through equipment increases song duration by 10% and gives an additional 10% potency to the debuff effect.
- Battlefield Elegy and Carnage Elegy both have a hard cap of 50% Attack Speed reduction.
- The maximum Elegy bonus available from equipment is +7.
File:Soul Voice Icon.png Soul Voice doubles the potency of this type of song.
File:Marcato Icon.png Marcato's effect on this type of song increases potency by 50%.
- Neither Job Ability bypasses the 50% Attack Speed reduction cap.
