== Opening the Gate ==
There are multiple ways to get past the '''Three Mages Gate'''. If this is your '''first time''' trying to get past this gate, it will take some time and maybe help from other players, check your options below:

=== With Another Player's Assistance ===
*The intended way: Assemble a group with 1 [[Black Mage]], 1 [[Red Mage]], and 1 [[White Mage]] to stand on the circles that match their name. This causes the circles on the floor to light up and it is a sight to see!
*Have someone who ''already'' possesses the {{KI}} [[Portal charm]] obtained in [[Written in the Stars]] open it for you.
*Die in front of the gate and have someone who can get to the other side of the gate cast [[Tractor]] on you, then [[Raise]] you once you accept it and get transported to the other side.
*Having previously unlocked the [[Home Point]] or [[Survival Guide]] in [[Toraimarai Canal]].

Needless to say, you'd better unlock that [[Home Point]] or [[Survival Guide]] the first time you get there if you have someone help open the door.

*Complete [[Written in the Stars]] using the '''3 Rusty Daggers''' method. (''Check the Mission's page for more info.'') This '''requires you to initially skip this Mission''', and come back later after completing the [[The Final Seal]] Mission. As a result, your Home Nation Rank will be higher, unlocking this alternative objective.
**This is the easiest ''solo'' way if you're able to purchase the daggers on the [[Auction House]], but requires you to skip the [[Written in the Stars]]. If you're not in a rush to obtain the {{KI}} [[Portal charm]], go for this option.
*Complete [[Written in the Stars]] ''after'' receiving the {{KI}} [[Rhinostery certificate]] during the Quest [[Toraimarai Turmoil]]. You can go straight to the [[Toraimarai Canal]] and use this shortcut, but won't be able to open it from the other side. Past the gate, an ancient teleporter at (E-6, Map 4) can return you to the magical seal.
