The Far Eastern language resembles archaic or Medieval-era Japanese. The official Japanese place names seem to use obscure kanji or outdated terminology. Examples include the obscure 醴"rei" in Reisenjima (written as 醴"Sweetwater", 泉"Springs", 島"Island"), and the 天"ten" in Tenshodo (written as 天"eastern", 晶"goods", 堂"company" or 天晶"crystal", 堂"company") has numerous meaning but long ago referred to the far east.

Far Eastern cuisine, on the other hand, appears to be fashioned after modern Japanese food.
