'''Cavernous Maws''' are mysterious portals of grotesque design used to travel between worlds. They are gateways between the present-day, the past [[Shadowreign]] era, and [[Abyssea]].

==Crystal War Maws==
The player must have completed [[Wings of the Goddess Mission 1]] and possess a {{KI}} [[Pure white feather]] to utilize these Cavernous Maws.

[[Shadowreign]] maws are always active and hovering, however present-day maws are dormant and weathered. They allow access between past and present areas. After a particular maw is interacted with once in the [[Shadowreign]] era, it may be used to directly travel between times in either direction.
