'''The Serpent Generals''' are five venerated soldiers of [[:Category:Aradjiah|Aht Urhgan]]'s Imperial Armed Forces assigned personally by [[Cipher: Nashmeira|Empress Nashmeira II]] with the protection of [[Al Zahbi]]. Each Serpent General represents one of the Imperial symbols, a serpent aligned with an element. The Hall of Binding which houses the [[Astral Candescence]] can only be unsealed using the mirrors they carry.

*You will receive all of the support effects from the Five Serpent Generals that are participating in Besieged.
*The support effects received will depend on your progression status in the prerequisite quests. For example, if you have completed the Ode to the Serpents, When the Bow Breaks, and Fist of the People quests...
*The effects are given both to players and pets (excluding Luopans).
*A special Serpent's Guile status icon is displayed when receiving support effects from the Five Serpent Generals.

==Moral Gauge==
The higher the Five Serpent Generals' morale, the more powerful their support effects are. Once it is full, you will also receive the following special bonus effect.
* Once the Morale Gauge is full, it will begin to deplete after a certain period of time has elapsed.
* The strength of these special bonus effects changes depending on the battle situation.

==Notes on Losing Besieged==
*Once a Serpent General falls their piece of the seal that protects the [[Astral Candescence]] will be removed.
*Serpent Generals can be captured and imprisoned. They will not appear in [[Besieged]] and their mirror already used to unlock their portion of the seal. Additionally, their aligned [[:Category:Besieged#Temporary Items|temporary items]] will not appear.
*It is possible for a general to be rescued from a stronghold while a [[Besieged]] is underway to join the fight and will be counted towards the defense shield of the AC.{{Verification}}

=Serpent Generals Quests=
Six quests across a single mini-storyline are centered around the character and history of the Serpent Generals. [[Fari-Wari]], the Bard, aspires to create an epic saga detailing the story of the Serpent Generals.

By completing all Serpent Generals Quests, players will be rewarded with a [[M. Camp Entry|Mercenary Camp Entry Slip]], allowing entry into a special battlefield, [[Mercenary Camp]], to fight all five Serpent Generals (Level 60 cap), in addition to unlocking two new Trusts, [[Cipher: Zazarg|Zazarg]] and [[Cipher: Gadalar|Gadalar]], as well as receiving unique support effect buffs from each of the Five Generals during [[Besieged]].
