Cumulative magic spells consist of seven [[:Category:Black Magic|Black Magic]] elemental spells available only to [[Black Mage]] that cumulatively increase damage associated with their element with each successive cast for a brief duration. Even at their base damage, prior to cumulative magic bonus, they are the most powerful nukes of the elements they represent. With the exception of [[Comet]], all of these spells are AoE spells. Spells in this category are noted with the text "successive use enhances spell potency" in the spell description.

==Cumulative Magic Effect==
Each time a cumulative magic spell is cast, a hidden debuff is placed on the monster which makes the monster take 5% additional damage from damage of that element for 60 seconds. Each successive cast of the same cumulative magic spell on the same target (from any player) will increase this elemental damage boost by an additional 5% of base damage; however, the window is not extended and will end 60 seconds after the first cumulative magic spell hit the monster even if another matching spell is cast unless you use Empyrean legs (75 to 110 seconds total).

For example, assuming an initial casting damage of 1000 for [[Firaja]], casting [[Firaja]] repeatedly within 60 seconds will result in damage of 1000, 1050, 1100, etc. Other fire damage, such as [[Fire IV]] or [[Wildfire]], will also receive this damage boost (+5%, +10%, etc.) while in effect.
*The total damage boost caps at 25%.

Casting a different cumulative magic spell will reset and overwrite any other cumulative magic effect on the target.

==Enhancing Equipment==
The cumulative magic effect is uniquely enhanced by Black Mage [[:Category:Empyrean Armor|Empyrean Armor]] pants.
* [[File:Goet. Chausses +1 icon.png|link=]] [[Goetia Chausses +1]] extend the window's duration from the first cumulative magic spell cast by 15 seconds (75 seconds total).
* [[File:Goet. Chausses +2 icon.png|link=]] [[Goetia Chausses +2]] extend the window's duration from the first cumulative magic spell cast by 30 seconds (90 seconds total).
