Notes
- Reduces an enemy's resistance ranks, which can have have a variety of effects including increasing skillchain damage and magic burst damage, as well as reducing elemental magic evasion.
- Resistance ranks lowered is based on the element of the runes used, and the number of elements used.
- Ignis lowers fire resistance, Sulpor lowers thunder resistance, etc.
- Enemy resistance ranks will fall 1 tier per rune harbored while Rayke is in effect. See the Resist page for tiers.
- This means Rayke may be used not only to increase skillchain damage of the corresponding element(s) and potentially boost magic burst damage, but to remove guaranteed 1/2 resists from any enemy if it can lower their resistance rank to below 50%.
- Separate from the previous effect on resistance ranks, Rayke also serves as a counter to the magic damage penalty for consecutive elemental spells. Also known as the Nuke Wall.
- Rayke will reduce the penalty for the Nuke Wall by 50% (-60% → -30%) regardless of the number of corresponding runes used; the same effect is gained from using one, two, or three of the same runes in this case.
